It comes equipped with the following features to increase startup speed, ensure more stable operation, and enable enhanced and flexible system customization.
Inherited features of FZ3 series
1. Easy setup
Connecting the wiring allows general tasks to be executed.
2. Easy to select a suitable image processing algorithm
It allows preparation of a large number of process items that are necessary to execute various image processing tasks.
You can try various algorithms for the anticipated image processing task to determine which is suitable for achieving the given task.
3. Easy to change the content of image processing
This series allows modification of the image processing content and parameters instantaneously on the target system and confirmation of the result of the change(s).
Operability
1. Operability on Windows base
Since this series conforms to the operating procedure of standard Windows applications, Windows users too will not have any sense of trouble in using it.
2. Enhanced flexibility in screen configuration
You can change the screen layouts and components without having to carry out programming.
Changes can be made to the target system as well.
Example: You are able to view an expanded display of the item you want to check.
Advanced and flexible customization
This series provides a method of customization that is optimum for the user's aims and in line with its difficulty level.
1. Change of the screen layout
You can change the layout of the screen displayed without having to carry out programming.
2. Makes it easier to use the calculation results of image processing and to execute complex numerical calculations
Using the macro function enables the calculations based on the calculation results of image processing to be used in the flow. It also enables use of the calculation results as measurement parameters in other process items.
3. Change and addition of UIs on the screen display
You can add the UI parts from Visual Studio.
You can prepare the projects to be used as the patterns of the UI parts from Application Producer in the development environment.
UI parts (custom controls) are provided to make the screen display simpler and numerical entry easier.
4. Creating a new image process item or using a library obtained from a third party.
You can create a new process item from Visual Studio.
You can prepare the project to be used as a pattern of the new process item from Application Producer in the development environment.
This series prepares not only the UI parts but also a variety of image processing libraries for the filter and measuring.
It also allows process items to be created that incorporate the dedicated image processing libraries such as HALCON library.

Note
Since this series has a highly independent modular structure, it allows the customers to repetitively use any user-developed software that can then become an asset to the customer.

The following two system configurations are provided so that customers can select the one that is suitable for their operation form.
All-in-One Vision System
A system consists of an image processing controller and cameras provided from OMRON.

Note
The guarantee of performance is provided for a variety of hardware.
This guarantees that 20 types of cameras will be able to operate with this product, which is one of the highest standards of its type in the industry.
Camera & Software Vision Package:
A system consists of PC prepared by customer, and image processing software and GigE camera from OMRON.
IMPORTANT
The GigE cameras from OMRON works properly only in combination with FJ Series software.
And FJ Series software cannot work properly in combination with GigE cameras from other manufacturer.
